Abstract
Abstract : This work is part of the Interior Design and Equipment final project course being taught at the School of Applied Arts of the Castelo Branco Polytechnic Institute. The Final Project proposes the rehabilitation of an old manor house dating from the 18th century, located in the district of Braga in the municipality of Celorico de Basto, more specifically in the land of Gémeos. Casa do Outeiro is identified as private property and the aim is to rehabilitate it with a rural tourism proposal that will emphasize the surrounding area and contribute to the development of tourism in the area where it is located. As the centuries passed, the dwelling continued to be privately owned, only changing ownership, and has been preserved since it was built. The house consists of a private chapel and two floors, with the first floor containing a traditional cellar, a wine press along with various spaces where agricultural products were stored, and the second floor is where the house was built. The proposal developed divided the two floors into separate areas, the ground floor as a social area and the first floor as a private area where the rooms are located. On the ground floor there will be a reception, three toilets and a dining room with breakfast service only, and a more secluded part for staff only. A small tour of the winery and mill is also proposed, which will give residents and non-residents the opportunity to visit it. On the first floor, there are only 6 bedrooms and two social rooms for residents only, with the capacity to accommodate 14 people. The accommodation will be staffed by just 6 employees who will be divided into areas: reception, the winery and mill tour, the pantry and the laundry area, providing assistance and support to each area in need.
