Remodelação da habitação da família Chapman

Abstract

O presente documento constitui uma síntese de todo o processo desenvolvido no Projeto Final, realizado no âmbito da unidade curricular de Projeto de Design de Interiores e Equipamento, durante o 6º semestre da Licenciatura em Design de Interiores e Equipamento, lecionada na Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. Este exercício teve como base a escolha e desenvolvimento de um projeto de remodelação de uma habitação unifamiliar. A proposta incide sobre a casa do casal Chapman, localizada no concelho de Marco de Canaveses, no distrito do Porto. A intervenção proposta teve como principal objetivo a atualização estética e estrutural da casa, de forma a adaptá-la às atuais necessidades e estilo de vida do casal residente. Ao longo do processo, procurou-se respeitar a identidade original da construção, enquanto se introduziram soluções contemporâneas que favorecessem o conforto, a funcionalidade e a harmonia dos espaços. Este trabalho reflete a aplicação dos conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo do curso, culminando numa proposta que valoriza não só a arquitetura existente, mas também o modo como esta pode evoluir em resposta às transformações da vida quotidiana. Abstract: This document is a summary of the entire process developed in the Final Project, carried out within the scope of the Interior Design and Equipment Project curricular unit, during the 6th semester of the Degree in Interior Design and Equipment, taught at the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas of the Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. This exercise was based on the selection and development of a remodeling project for a single-family home. The proposal focuses on the Chapman couple's house, located in the municipality of Marco de Canaveses, in the district of Porto. The intervention proposal had as its main objective the aesthetic and structural update of the house, in order to adapt it to the current needs and lifestyle of the resident couple. Throughout the process, the aim was to respect the original identity of the building, while introducing contemporary solutions that favored the comfort, functionality and harmony of the spaces. This work reflects the application of knowledge acquired throughout the course, culminating in a proposal that values not only existing architecture, but also the way in which it can evolve in response to transformations in everyday life.
