Abstract : This report was developed within the Project course of the third year of the Bachelor's Degree in Fashion and Textile Design at the School of Applied Arts. It presents the research and development process of Hashima, a capsule collection of textile accessories created for the VESTIGEE brand and centred on the relationship between functionality, materiality and the transformation of matter. The research is based on the observation of built environments subjected to processes of decay, abandonment and transformation, examining how time, environmental conditions and the presence of nature alter structures originally designed for function and control. These principles are subsequently translated into the collection through material experimentation, textile manipulation and the design of utilitarian accessories. The document presents the conceptual framework, theoretical foundation and methodology adopted throughout the project, as well as the different stages of the collection's development, including visual research, material experimentation, design development and prototyping. The report serves as a record of the design process and of the decisions that guide the construction of the final proposal.
