Abstract
A busca constante por soluções mais eficientes e seguras na engenharia impulsiona a realização de ensaios estruturais cada vez mais rigorosos. Ao longo da história, esses testes evoluíram de métodos empíricos para técnicas sofisticadas, baseadas em conhecimentos científicos e em equipamentos precisos.
O presente relatório tem como objetivo detalhar a experiência adquirida durante o estágio realizado no Laboratório de Ensaios Especiais (LEE) do Instituto de Soldadura e Qualidade (ISQ) em Castelo Branco, no período de 02/2024 a 06/2024. Através da participação em diversos ensaios, foi possível aprofundar o conhecimento sobre a importância desses ensaios para garantir a qualidade e a segurança de equipamentos e estruturas.
Os ensaios estruturais permitem caracterizar materiais, avaliar o comportamento de componentes sob diferentes condições de carga e temperatura, e validar modelos numéricos. Essas informações são fundamentais para o dimensionamento adequado de elementos estruturais, órgãos de máquinas, componentes e para a identificação de possíveis falhas e a otimização de projetos.
Durante o estágio tive a oportunidade de participar na preparação de ensaios de certificação ATP e observar a metodologia dos referidos ensaios. O acompanhamento de diferentes testes permitindo constatar e aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos na Licenciatura em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial bem como desenvolver novas valências.
Este relatório apresenta um panorama das atividades desenvolvidas, e as contribuições dadas ao LEE na conceção, desenvolvimento e execução de vários projetos propostos, nomeadamente um instrumento de medida, uma estrutura de suporte de equipamentos e um controlador mecânico de rotação de motores de automóveis para testes de certificação ATP.
Abstract : The constant search for more efficient and safer solutions in engineering drives the performance of increasingly rigorous structural tests. Throughout history, these tests have evolved from empirical methods to sophisticated techniques based on scientific knowledge and precise equipment. The purpose of this report is to detail the experience gained during my internship at the Special Testing Laboratory (LEE) of the Welding and Quality Institute (ISQ) in Castelo Branco, from 02/2024 to 06/2024. By taking part in various tests, it was possible to deepen my knowledge of the importance of these tests in guaranteeing the quality and safety of equipment and structures. Structural tests make it possible to characterize materials, assess the behaviour of components under different load and temperature conditions, and validate numerical models. This information is essential for the proper sizing of structural elements, machine parts and components and for identifying possible failures and optimizing projects. During my internship I had the opportunity to take part in the preparation of ATP certification tests and observe the methodology of these tests. The monitoring of different tests allowed me to verify and apply the knowledge acquired during my degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as to develop new skills. This report presents an overview of the activities carried out and the contributions made to the LEE in the design, development and execution of various proposed projects, namely a measuring instrument, an equipment support structure and a mechanical car engine speed controller for ATP certification tests.
