Resumo
Os avanços tecnológicos, especialmente a crescente digitalização da saúde, trouxeram mudanças significativas na prestação dos cuidados, na formação profissional e nas interações com os utentes. Este trabalho propõe analisar o impacto da utilização de tecnologias digitais na saúde, com foco na prática de enfermagem e na aplicação da teoria de promoção da saúde de Nola Pender. Para tal, realizou-se uma revisão narrativa da literatura, com base em fontes científicas e institucionais recentes, selecionadas segundo critérios de inclusão e exclusão previamente definidos. O conceito de literacia digital; identificar os benefícios da utilização da tecnologia na saúde; reconhecer os desafios/limitações da tecnologia na área da saúde; analisar o impacto da inteligência artificial na promoção de saúde; apresentar exemplos práticos de sucesso no uso de tecnologias na saúde e relacionar a teoria de . Os resultados apontam para um conjunto de benefícios, como a melhoria do acesso, da continuidade e da qualidade dos cuidados, mas também para desafios, nomeadamente a desigualdade digital, as questões éticas e a necessidade de capacitação contínua dos profissionais. O desenvolvimento de comunidades mais saudáveis requer uma abordagem contínua, integrada e participativa, baseada na educação, na promoção da saúde e no fortalecimento da literacia digital. Estes conceitos interligam-se e refletem uma mudança de paradigma, a saúde deixa de ser entendida apenas como a ausência de doença para ser encarada como um estado de bem-estar integral, sustentável e cada vez mais influenciado pelas tecnologias.
Abstract: Technological advances, particularly the increasing digitalization of healthcare, have brought significant changes to care delivery, professional training, and interactions with patients. This paper aims to analyze the impact of the use of digital technologies in healthcare, with a focus on nursing practice and the application of Nola Pender's Health Promotion Model. To this end, a narrative literature review was conducted, based on recent scientific and institutional sources selected according to predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The outlined objectives were to identify the benefits and challenges associated with the adoption of technologies in healthcare, to describe the role of these technologies in promoting digital health literacy, and to reflect on findings highlight several benefits, such as improved access, continuity, and quality of care, but also point to challenges, including digital inequality, ethical issues, and the need for ongoing professional training. The development of healthier communities requires a continuous, integrated, and participatory approach based on education, health promotion, and the strengthening of digital literacy. These concepts are interconnected and reflect a paradigm shift health is no longer seen merely as the absence of disease but rather as a state of integral, sustainable well-being increasingly influenced by technology. Therefore, the digital transition in healthcare should not be viewed as a mere technological advancement, but rather as a structural transformation that demands a humanistic, inclusive, and reflective approach. Promoting health today means investing in peo serves as a tool for inclusion and equity, rather than a source of exclusion. It is concluded that the integration of digital technologies in healthcare, when combined with the critical and humanistic training of professionals, can represent a significant advancement in health promotion and citizen empowerment, reinforcing the transformative role of nursing.
