Abstract
O presente projeto incide sobre a reabilitação de um espaço existente nas Grutas da Moeda, em São Mamede (Batalha), com o objetivo de o transformar num restaurante gourmet de funcionamento noturno, voltado para um público de classe alta. A proposta procura responder ao desejo do cliente de otimizar o potencial comercial do imóvel, explorando uma abordagem sensorial e estética coerente com o contexto envolvente.
Partindo de uma metodologia fundamentada nos princípios de Bruno Munari, o processo projetual incluiu fases de levantamento, análise ergonómica, estudo de referências, desenvolvimento técnico e modelação tridimensional. O foco incide na sala de refeições e zona de bar, onde se pretende proporcionar uma experiência gastronómica sofisticada, acolhedora e visualmente marcante.
A proposta combina materiais nobres, como mármore, madeira e pele natural, com uma iluminação criteriosa e uma organização funcional do espaço, promovendo conforto, elegância e fluidez de circulação. O projeto contempla ainda o desenvolvimento de um elemento de design personalizado, um biombo, concebido para reforçar a privacidade sem comprometer a harmonia visual.
Este trabalho reflete a consolidação dos conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da Licenciatura em Design de Interiores e Equipamento, integrando uma abordagem crítica, criativa e tecnicamente fundamentada. Simultaneamente, representa um exercício de maturidade pessoal e profissional, revelando a importância do design como ferramenta transformadora de experiências.
Abstract : This project focuses on the rehabilitation of an existing space located at the Grutas da Moeda, in São Mamede (Batalha), with the goal of transforming it into a gourmet restaurant operating during nighttime hours and aimed at a high-end clientele. The proposal seeks to fulfill the client’s wish to optimize the commercial potential of the property, by exploring a sensory and aesthetic approach in harmony with the surrounding context. Based on a methodology grounded in the principles of Bruno Munari, the design process included stages such as site survey, ergonomic analysis, reference studies, technical development, and three-dimensional modeling. The focus lies on the dining room and bar area, aiming to provide a sophisticated, welcoming, and visually impactful gastronomic experience. The project combines high-end materials—such as marble, wood, and natural leather—with carefully planned lighting and functional spatial organization, promoting comfort, elegance, and smooth circulation. Additionally, the design includes a custom-made piece, screen, created to enhance privacy without compromising visual harmony. This work reflects the consolidation of knowledge acquired throughout the undergraduate program in Interior and Furniture Design, integrating a critical, creative, and technically sound approach. At the same time, it represents a personal and professional maturity exercise, highlighting the importance of design as a transformative tool for experiences.
