Cuidados veterinários em bovinos de leite e equinos

Abstract

O presente documento é relativo ao relatório de estágio curricular do 2º ano do Curso Técnico Superior Profissional de Cuidados Veterinários, da Escola Superior Agrária, do Instituto Politécnico De Castelo Branco, realizado entre o período de 27 de Janeiro a 19 de Junho, tendo sido interrompido de 21 de Março a 18 de Maio devido à pandemia mundial COVID-19, do presente ano. Este relatório integra duas partes. Primeiramente uma parte teórica que consta da caracterização das entidades integradoras de estágio, para melhor conhecimento, e de seguida outra parte em que são descritas as atividades realizadas durante o estágio curricular nomeadamente casos clínicos e procedimentos com bovinos de leite, na exploração, e com equinos, em regime de clinica ambulatória. Por fim serão apresentadas os casos acompanhados bem como a sua análise. A primeira intervenção do estágio teve lugar na exploração Fonte Leite Exploração Agropecuária, SA, na Azambuja, com o acompanhamento do Médico Veterinário José Alface. A segunda intervenção do estágio foi em regime ambulatório maioritariamente no distrito de Setúbal, com o acompanhamento da Médica Veterinária Cátia Mousinho. This document accompanies the curricular internship report for the 2nd year of the Professional Higher Technician in Veterinary Care Course, at Escola Superior Agrária, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, carried out between the 27th of January to the 19th of July, having been interrupted from the 21st of March to the 18th of May due to the global pandemic COVID-19, this year. This report comprises two moments: Firstly, a theoretical moment that includes the characterization of the internship’s integrating entities, for better knowledge, and then another moment in which the activities carried out during the curricular internship are described, namely clinical cases and procedures with dairy cattle, on the farm, and with horses in an outpatient clinic. Finally, the experiences as well as heir analysis will be presented. The first internship intervention took place at the Fonte Leite-Exploração Agropecuária, SA farm in Azambuja, with the assistance of veterinarian José Alface. The second intervention of the internship was on an outpatient basis mostly in the district of Setúbal, with the accompaniment of the veterinary doctor Cátia Mousinho.
