Fatores associados à adesão terapêutica na Diabetes mellitus Tipo 2

Abstract

A diabetes mellitus tipo 2 representa um dos maiores desafios de saúde pública a nível mundial, com elevada prevalência e impacto significativo na qualidade de vida dos utentes. Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender os fatores associados à adesão terapêutica na diabetes mellitus tipo 2, analisando as intervenções do Enfermeiro nesse contexto. Através de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, foram identificadas múltiplas dimensões que afetam a adesão terapêutica, como a literacia em saúde, o suporte familiar, fatores emocionais, socioeconómicos, a relação com os profissionais de saúde e o uso de tecnologias digitais. Os resultados evidenciam que intervenções educativas individualizadas, culturalmente adaptadas e centradas no utente promovem melhorias tanto na adesão terapêutica como nos resultados clínicos. Conclui-se que o Enfermeiro tem um papel central na promoção do autocuidado e na implementação de estratégias que respondam às necessidades específicas dos utentes com DM2.

Abstract: Type 2 diabetes mellitus represents one of the greatest public health challenges worldwide, with a high prevalence and a significant impact on patients' quality of life. The aim of this study is to understand the factors associated with therapeutic adherence in type 2 diabetes mellitus, analyzing the interventions of nurses in this context. Through a narrative review of the literature, multiple dimensions were identified that affect therapeutic adherence, such as health literacy, family support, emotional and socio-economic factors, the relationship with health professionals and the use of digital technologies. The results show that individualized, culturally adapted and user-centered educational interventions promote improvements in both therapeutic adherence and clinical outcomes. The conclusion is that nurses play a central role in promoting self-care and implementing strategies that meet the specific needs of patients with DM2.
