Cuidados veterinários em animais selvagens

Abstract

O presente documento resulta do trabalho exercido durante o período de estágio curricular com a duração de 368 horas, no Parque temático Zoomarine-Mundo Aquático, S.A na Guia. O estágio foi realizado em contexto zoológico durante o qual foi possível exercer tarefas no âmbito do maneio, sanidade, treino e profilaxia das diferentes espécies de animais selvagens. O estagiário foi integrado na equipa e nas rotinas diárias do habitat Américas tendo também prestado apoio à área Rapinas. Neste relatório é descrito o local de estágio, sendo feita uma breve apresentação da estrutura e funcionalidade do mesmo e apresentadas as atividades desenvolvidas durante o estágio. É ainda abordado o tema “Treino de animais de zoo “.

Abstract: This document is the result of the work carried out during the 368-hour curricular internship at the Zoomarine-Mundo Aquático, S.A theme park in Guia. The internship was carried out in a zoological context during which it was possible to do tasks within the scope of management, health, training and prophylaxis of different species of wild animals. The intern was integrated in the team and in the daily routines of the Americas habitat and also provided support to the Birds of prey area. This report describes the location of the internship, with a brief presentation of its structure and functionality and the activities developed during the internship. The topic "Training of zoo animals" is also addressed.
