Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio é realizado na sequência do período de estágio curricular, referente ao Curso Técnico Superior Profissional em Produção Agrícola da Escola Superior Agrária de Castelo Branco, do Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco. O relatório tem como objetivo descrever as atividades realizadas na Direção-Geral da Alimentação e Veterinária, na Divisão de Intervenção Veterinária de Portalegre, ao longo do período compreendido entre 17 de fevereiro e 4 de julho de 2025, perfazendo um total de 820 horas. A concretização do estágio curricular tem como objetivo a aquisição de conhecimentos e competências necessárias para exercer a função de Técnico Superior em Produção Agrícola. Deste modo, escolhi a DGAV para exercer essas mesmas funções, podendo adquirir conhecimentos na área animal, através de inspeções, certificação e bem-estar, a nível da área alimentar, realização de vistorias no âmbito do PACE, efetuadas no distrito de Portalegre. Os procedimentos efetuados englobam a movimentação animal, através da emissão de guias sanitárias e/ou para abate, a troca de sexo em bovinos, a emissão de passaportes, a realização de certificados na plataforma TRACES, acompanhamento nas leituras de animais e no acompanhamento do carregamento, para os barcos e para a Espanha, a introdução de animais mortos e desaparecidos, de pequenos ruminantes, no digital, a realização de vistorias e o atendimento telefónico e presencial dos clientes.

Abstract: This internship report has been prepared following the completion of the curricular internship period, as part of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Agricultural Production at the School of Agriculture of Castelo Branco, Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco. The purpose of this report is to describe the activities carried out at the Directorate General for Food and Veterinary Affairs (DGAV), within the Veterinary Intervention Division of Portalegre, during the period from 17 February to 4 July 2025, totalling 820 hours. The aim of the curricular internship is to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the role of Senior Technician in Agricultural Production. With this in mind, I chose the DGAV to undertake the internship, as it offered the opportunity to gain knowledge in the animal sector through inspections, certification and welfare practices, and in the food sector through inspections under the PACE programme, conducted in the district of Portalegre. The tasks performed included animal movement procedures such as the issuance of health and/or slaughter certificates, changes to sex records in cattle, issuance of passports, certification using the TRACES platform, assistance during animal readings and loading (for both maritime transport and transport to Spain), registration of dead and missing small ruminants in the Idigital platform, as well as the carrying out of inspections and providing both telephone and in-person customer service.
